Waffles

Instructions:

Preheat the waffle iron to your desired setting.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda.

In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs well then stream in the melted butter while continuing to whisk. Whisk in the milk, yogurt, and flavoring if using. Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing until smooth.

Melt a few extra tablespoons of butter then use a pastry brush to lightly coat the waffle iron. Use a 1/2-cup measuring cup to add the batter to the heated iron and cook to your desired doneness.

Serve the waffles immediately or keep them warm in a 200-degree oven until ready to serve.

Maple Syrup

 

Ingredients:

 

3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt

1 cup water
2 tablespoons E-Z Gel
1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
4 tablespoons cold butter

 

Instructions:

 

In a medium saucepan, whisk together the sugar, salt, and E-Z Gel. While whisking, add the water and turn on the burner to medium high heat. Continue to whisk until the sugar is dissolved and the syrup is hot. Remove from the heat, add the maple flavoring, vanilla, and butter, stirring until the butter is melted. Serve warm.

 

 

 

 

 

Honey Butter

 

Ingredients:

 

1 cup softened butter
1/2 cup soft honey

1/2 teaspoon fine salt
1 egg yolk, optional
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

 

Instructions:

 

Add all ingredients to a medium bowl and use a hand mixer to beat until completely combined.
